On April 4, psychologists mark their professional holiday — declared as such in 1995. We're delighted to share that colleagues have responded to our call for free psychological consultations and assessments to mark Psychologist's Day. Don't miss the chance to take care of your mental health for free or at a promotional price, ask a specialist your questions, get an assessment of your child's development, or find out their IQ.

Katerina Chonova holds a Master's in school psychology and is a psychotherapist under master-level supervision with the Bulgarian Society for Positive Psychotherapy and WAPP (World Association for Positive and Transcultural Psychotherapy). Certified in Child Play Psychotherapy with the Institute of Positive Psychotherapy. A member of the Bulgarian Society of Psychologists. Administers the Developmental Profile-3 (DP-3) screening test for assessing child development, for children ages 0–12.99.
Katerina Chonova's offer includes:
- a free DP-3 test for the child (ages 0–12.99) and a consultation for the first 10 parents who book their appointment by email at kchonova@abv.bg on April 4.
All subsequent parents who book on April 4 by email will be able to take the DP-3 at a 70% discount off the regular 50 BGN price — i.e., 15 BGN.
More about the DP-3: the test can be done in person at the practice in Sofia or via an online meeting with the psychologist. Those of you who get in touch on April 5 and 6 will get 50% off the regular 50 BGN — i.e., 25 BGN.
The test is conducted in a meeting with the parent without the child present. It takes between 40 and 60 minutes depending on the child's age. If a parent can't meet with the psychologist, they'll receive a form to fill out, which the psychologist will process.
The test identifies whether the child is delayed, within norms, or advanced in five areas important to child development: physical, adaptive, social-emotional, communication, and cognitive. Together with the test results, Katerina Chonova provides parents with detailed guidance for developing the areas that need support. The test does not measure the child's intelligence.
The results are given to the parent in the form of a detailed written analysis with prescriptions for further evaluations by other specialists if needed, and recommendations for building or enriching skills relevant to the child's development at the corresponding age.
